The Bank of Tioga now offers rewards checking

July 2, 2019

Ok, show of hands – who likes free money?

The Bank of Tioga is now offering a rewards checking account, allowing clients to earn cash back – among other perks - when they use their debit card.

The account offers 5 percent* cash back on debit card purchases with up to $10 in cash back each month, along with ATM withdrawal fee refunds – no matter where you’re using an ATM.

To qualify for the reward program, clients must deposit new money into the account. New account openings will qualify, as will new money deposited into accounts created when existing clients roll their checking into the rewards account.

Requirements include having a direct deposit, ACH payment or bill pay transaction monthly, enrollment in e-statements and at least 15 debit card purchases within the billing cycle.

And if you come up short of those requirements? No sweat. There’s no penalty fee and your account is always free. At the start of each month you have a chance to meet the requirements.

The minimum deposit amount to start an account is $50.
