The Bank of Tioga brings master illusionist, Matt Adams, to local high schools

Tioga, ND, Aug. 31, 2018 - The Bank of Tioga will host third-annual The Bank of Tioga (TBOT) Promise on Friday, with motivational in-school events on Sept. 14 at Tioga High School and Divide County High School culminating with a youth rally on Saturday, Sept. 15 new this year.

TBOT Promise is an annual event sponsored by The Bank of Tioga, where an inspirational speaker is brought in to speak at school to local youth. This comes as a result of the bank’s promise to reinvest into youth programs for the communities it serves.

The 2018 motivational speaker for both the in-school events and the youth rally is Matt Adams, a master illusionist, who has traveled the world telling stories and sharing his gifts of magic.

The school events are not open to the public. However, middle and high school students are invited to attend the TBOT Promise youth rally on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 beginning at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. at the Tioga Theater located at 15 NE 1st Street, Tioga, ND 58852.

Matt Adams is recognized in the magic community for his groundbreaking work on the Illusion Repository. Matt has also produced several online magic videos including a very popular tutorial for coin manipulation. His viewers now number in the hundred-thousands. Matt is a missionary to the U.S. but also regularly ministers around the world using his gifts.

Feedback from last year’s event was very encouraging. “The students at Divide County responded well to the message and talked positively throughout the day about ways they can be heroes for each other!” said Judy Harding, M.S. School Counseling for Divide County. “Jon (2017 speaker) did a fantastic job of keeping the student's attention through his examples of strength.”
