Bank Holds Ribbon Cutting and Open House

The Bank of Tioga held a ribbon cutting and open house on March 14, 2018 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. to unveil its extensive renovations to the public. 

Bank employees, board members and community members celebrated progress and look forward to the next chapter that has been made at the formerly known Farmer's State Bank of Crosby location over the last three years. Cake, cupcakes and punch were provided.

The Bank of Tioga is dedicated to the community of Crosby and is very focused on continuing to build the branch by providing high quality service to existing and prospective clients in the surrounding area.

During the event, community members were encouraged to enter a drawing for several prizes from Crosby businesses. The winners were announced on the bank’s Facebook last week, winners included: Shelby McDermott, $575 gift certificate for Garbel's Furniture & Flooring; Amanda Sundberg, $400 in Crosby Bucks; John Nygaard, $300 gift certificate for New Century Ag; Greg Wishart, $150 gift certificate for Crosby Self-Serve; and a Bonnie Borreson, $100 gift certificate for Crosby Drug. Over 180 people entered the drawing over the one-week period prior to the ribbon cutting.

With this The Bank of Tioga is also pleased to announce the following promotions: 

Savanna Hendrickson – Credit Administrative Officer, Vice President
Savanna (Wissbrod) Hendrickson is a native of the Crosby community. Her banking career started while she was attending college and has been her passion since. Working for The Bank of Tioga, which strives to provide financial solutions to positively impact client’s livelihood and focuses on reinvesting in the community, is something she is extremely proud of. She graduated from the University of North Dakota in December 2011 and holds a degree in Investments and Master of Business Administration. She resides in Crosby with her husband, Dan, and two young sons, Jaxon (4) and Davis (1). She enjoys spending time with her family out on her parent’s farm and spends most summer weekends at Lake Metigoshe.

Lee Rindel – Assistant Vice President of Ag Banking
Lee Rindel moved back to the Crosby area with his family in early 2015. This is when Lee started his banking career with The Bank of Tioga as an Agricultural Lender. He enjoys conversing with his clients and the satisfaction that comes from helping others achieve their business goals. Lee graduated from North Dakota State University in May 2008 with a degree in Animal Science and minor in Ag-Business. He managed the Beef Teaching and Research Facility at NDSU for six years. Lee and his family live on his family farm, where his wife, Tessa, runs an in-home daycare. They have a daughter, Stella (4), who was name after her great-grandmother. Living on the farm allows Lee the opportunity to have a small cow herd, which keeps his whole family busy in the evenings and weekends.

Dana Vaagene – Assistant Vice President of Personal Banking
Dana Vaagene joined The Bank of Tioga in 2014 as a Teller. She has also held the positions of Personal Banker, Operations Specialist, Data Integrity Specialist and Personal Banking Supervisor. Dana greatly appreciates the opportunities The Bank of Tioga offers, to positively impact clients and the community. Prior to joining the bank, Dana had several years of experience in accounting, customer service and office management positions. Dana moved from Hatton, ND to the Tioga area with her husband, Garth, and their son, Tanner, in 2010. After their son’s graduation, Dana and Garth became very active in their passion for rescuing and fostering dogs in the area and have worked with several rescue organizations.

Lucas Schumacher – Board of Directors
The bank is also pleased to announce that Lucas Schumacher has joined the bank's board of directors. Lucas Schumacher has been a Farmers Union Insurance agent since 2012. He enjoys assisting people with finding insurance solutions to protect their personal and business ventures. Lucas is active in the community serving on the St. Luke's Hospital Board, Concordia Lutheran Church Board, Crosby Country Club Board along with coaching high school golf and youth baseball and hockey. Lucas and his wife Becky, have three children and have lived in North Dakota since 2011. His hobbies include pontooning on the lakes of northern Minnesota along with golfing, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling.
