Local Bank Partners with Local College for Student Success Center

March 4, 2019, Tioga, ND - Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College (NHSC) is tribally chartered by the Three Affiliated Tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation headquarters at New Town, North Dakota. NHCS provides quality cultural, academic, and vocational education and services for the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation. 

The Bank of Tioga is a proud partner and recently gifted $1,500 toward NHSC Student Success Center for classroom and technology needs. Additionally, Joy Sparks, TS Institute Financial Literacy Coordinator conducts quarterly lunch and learn presentations that are open to all students and staff in the Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College Student Success Center. She also provides workshops each semester for their new students.

Financial literacy is one of the core values at The Bank of Tioga and because of that the bank support TS Institute. TS Institute is made possible by The Bank of Tioga’s mission to reinvest 10 percent of its pre-tax income back into the community.

The non-profit was created in 2009 to collaborate with school districts and promote financial literacy, with a goal to provide a robust curriculum program to students, in grades K-12, with knowledge to make sound financial decisions. TS Institute also conducts financial training for non-profit organizations and hosts various community events.
