Applications open for The Bank of Tioga annual REV business pitch competition

Tioga, ND, July 1, 2021 – The Bank of Tioga has partnered with Tioga Area Economic Development Corporation to announce REV, a small business pitch competition that will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021. Entrepreneurs and business owners will have the opportunity to pitch to a panel of judges to win up to $15,000 to grow their business.
Applicants will be judged on their pitch, marketing, personal investment level and exit strategy.
The bank and Tioga EDC will accept up to five businesses into the competition. Entrants will have 10 minutes to pitch their business concepts to a panel of four judges, followed by questions from the judges, made up of bank officials and other area business and development stakeholders.
This year’s event will be held on Friday, November 5 at the Tioga Theatre. Additional event details will be shared at a later date.
The Bank of Tioga started REV five years ago in an effort to spur economic growth and encourage business owners to continue pursuing their dreams. To date, the bank has awarded $45,000 to multiple winners.
“We invite businesses to pitch their current or future business concept for a chance to win actual money. Our sole mission is to create community prosperity in all the communities we serve,” said The Bank of Tioga President, David Grubb.
Last year’s winners include: $5,000 to Queen Divas Heavenly Maids Cleaning Services to help purchase equipment and to get a professional website; $5,000 to Joyful Living to assist the remodel of a building to become a long-term wellness center on the main level, the upper story apartments and the basement a space for yoga; $3,000 to Haugland Insurance Services to put a digital sign in the front of their building and additional marketing services; and $2,000 to A to Z Grooming to defer some of the costs to expand the pet boarding side of their business.
